Q. What is a Creatively Uncorked event like?
A. A fun, social, group setting, with an artist to guide you step by step in replicating the night’s featured painting. By the end of the evening you will create a fabulous piece of artwork! The event times vary but we suggest arriving 20-30 minutes early to get drinks, paint and the seat of your choice. Events are 2 – 3 hours with breaks. Events in our downtown Fargo studio are open to age 6 and up. The West Fargo studio is age 21 and up. Please check the description of the event you plan to attend.
Q. Do I need to sign up in advance?
A. Yes. Many of our events will sell out. You can register on the website or give us a call at 701-532-2112 and we will be happy to get your registered. We post events on Facebook as an easy way to invite your friends, but a Facebook RSVP does not hold your seat! Please sign up on the Creatively Uncorked website.
Q. What is the cost of a Creatively Uncorked event?
A. The prices range between $20-$75 depending on the night and painting. Typically a two-hour painting is $40 and a three-hour painting is $45. We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover. Please sign up on the website as we do not take personal checks.
Q. What is included in the price?
A. We provide the artist, canvas, paint, brushes, easels, and aprons. We do all the set up and clean up. You just show up, have fun, create your artwork, and take it home. Snacks, beverages and liquor are available in our studios and at some venues, but not included in the cost.
Q. What do I wear?
A. We provide aprons, but you may want to wear something you wouldn’t mind getting paint on, just in case!
Q. What time do I need to arrive for an event?
A. We recommend arriving 20-30 minutes early to most events to get signed in, get uncorked and get seated. Most of our venue partners offer full menus, so you may want to arrive even earlier to order dinner in the dining area before the event. If you want to sit with a group of friends, one person should arrive early enough to save seats for the group. Let us know if you would like to save seats when you are checking in.
Q. That looks really hard. Can I paint it?
A. It’s never as hard as it looks! We always have extra artists on hand to help make sure your painting turns out great. Some of the more difficult paintings might be stenciled or pre-sketched on the canvas.
Q. Can I paint mine a different color than the original?
A. For parties in the Creatively Uncorked studios, you have all the color options. For mobile parties, we only bring with the colors that will be used in the painting. If you would like an additional color, we may be able to accommodate if you request a specific color at least a day ahead of time. The best way to contact us would be through email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Q. What is your cancellation policy?
A. Creatively Uncorked offers an art instruction and entertainment event that can be compared to a concert or theater event. We realize that unforeseen things happen, but we also would appreciate the time to offer the seat to others and fill the spot. Therefore NO REFUNDS will be given 48-hours prior to your scheduled class. Due to the time it takes to prepare the class, NO refund or store credit is given for last minute cancellations or no shows. Your ticket is fully transferable, however, and you may let someone of your own choosing use your ticket in your absence. Cancellations should be made via email only. To be fair, we enforce this for everyone.
Special events have a 7 day cancellation policy. Special events include Paint Your Pet, Pop Art Paint Your Pet, all Wood Signs.
We may cancel Public classes without a minimum of 10 attendees. Cancellations are uncommon and customers will be notified via email and a refunded will be given. If a different event is scheduled instead, your ticket will automatically be transferred to the new event. You have the option of a refund up to 48 hours prior if you choose not to attend the replacement event.
Q. What happens if an event is canceled due to weather?
A. If we cancel a public event, we will reschedule and transfer all tickets automatically. If you cannot make it to the rescheduled event, you can request a refund or transfer to another event on the calendar.
Q. Can my friend come with and watch?
A. No. Painting parties are not a spectator sport! We have found that having non-painting extras in the room is very distracting and disruptive to the painters.
Q. How do I know if there are enough tickets for me and my friends?
A. Go to the event page. Click the “show details” link next to the ticket selector. Scroll down to see how many tickets are available, sold, and total number. Sign up early! Many of our public events sell out.
Q. Do you have gift certificates?
A. We do! We can mail them to any address. Call or stop in the studio to purchase gift certificates, or get them online here.
Q. When does the new schedule come out?
A. The schedule is being continuously updated. We try to have our public events calendar up 5-7 weeks in advance. We are always updating our schedule with new paintings and venues, please join our email list to get the new events via email.
Q. How often will you repeat paintings? I missed one that I really wanted to paint.
A. Please let us know! We will keep this in mind next time we work on the calendar! Even retired paintings can be scheduled again if we get enough requests. Anything in our library is available for private parties. We offer You Pick the Painting events from time to time so you can choose any painting from our library to paint.
Q. Do you take painting requests?
A. Yes, absolutely! If there is something you really want to paint, please let us know.
Q. How many people do I need for a Private Event?
A. We require a 10 person minimum for a private painting party in our studio. Local mobile events have a 12 person minimum on weekdays and 16 on weekends. Non-local mobiles may have higher minimums based on location. This does not mean you must have the minimum number of people attend! You will be charged for the minimum even if you have fewer in your party.
Q. My private party really wants a custom painting. Can you paint one?
A. You can request a custom painting. No guarantees. Please choose a backup from the library.
Q. Can we have liquor in the studio?
A. The West Fargo studio has a full bar and some snacks available. Outside beverages are not allowed. We can help with catering if you like. The downtown Fargo studio will not provide or sell liquor or refreshments.
Q. Do you have events for people under 21 years of age?
A. Yes! All events in Moorhead, Fargo, Detroit Lakes, Perham and Fergus Falls are age 6+. Only the West Fargo studio is 21+. You are welcome to have a private party at your home or other venue you book and invite any age you like.
Q. How far will you travel for an event?
A. Creatively Uncorked will Travel! We do public events within a 100 mile radius of West Fargo, ND. Call us at 701-532-2112 for distance and pricing.

A. We do private painting parties and public Creatively Kids paintings for age 6+ in the downtown Fargo studio only. We do not do mobile kids parties.
Q. Are Creatively Kid’s events just for kids or can adults paint?
A. This is intended to be creative time for the kiddos. Kids thrive and enjoy themselves when they get to be creative independently! If you do stay and paint with your kids, we ask that you avoid hovering, critiquing, or painting on your child’s canvas.
Q. I have a venue and would like to host an event. How do I get started?
A. Great! We are always looking for new venues. Here is more information for event venues.
Q. I am an artist, are you hiring?
A. We are always looking for talented artists. Send your resume and samples of your work here.
Q. Is there an age limit for Creatively Uncorked?
A. It depends on the event and venue. Events in the Creatively Uncorked West Fargo studio are open to age 21+. Creatively Uncorked Downtown Fargo is age 6+. Most public mobile events are open to age 6+. Check the information on the specific event you would like to attend. Babies are not allowed at any public event.
Q. What do you do with the extra teacher’s paintings?
A. We often donate them to charity. If you know of a non-profit that is holding a silent auction and would like some paintings, have them call us at 701-532-2112. You can request a donation for your non-profit here. Any paintings that do not get donated are available at the studio for sale.
